The Lothar Wolleh Archive contains photographs, negatives and slides, his photo books, films, art objects and correspondence with European avant-garde artists of the 1960s and 70s. In addition, the Archive facilitates scientific research and handles matters of copyright and authentication.
Lothar Wolleh Estate is dedicated to the work of the photographer Lothar Wolleh, who was born in 1930 in Berlin and died in 1979 at the age of 49 in London. After his early death, the work of Lothar Wolleh has been displayed only fragmentarily.
With Lothar Wolleh Raum, the Wolleh family has created a place that presents his work permanently and comprehensively. The aim is to open up the work of Lothar Wolleh in all its aspects, such as photographs, photo-art volumes and editions, and to show through exhibitions, events and publications the relevance of his work in a broader, international art-historical context.
